I received this model of the Cardassian cruiser as a gift years ago and wanted to know who the manufacturer is and when it might have been made.
The only thing I can find online or on forums is the mini-playset from Playmate. But the two figures don’t match (their faces and hands are orange instead of white, and the Cardassian has no hair). Also, the stickers on the screens in the bridge are slightly different. Was there a replica of this, or is it from a different model series, or could it be a fake? Thanks and best regards
One last guess. If there are no markings and the figures look off, then knock off might be what it is. You can look this up- "Space War Warship Playset". I found one as a TNG Enterprise and another one as a Klingon Bird of Prey. As I observe the figs that you have, they seem to line up with this KO....hopefully I am not repeating my comment- seems the site or my browser was having trouble processing it.
Thanks for the tips. There are no manufacturer details. There isn't a single label on the model. The Micro-Machines look different, just like the Deep Space Nine ships and figures. I'll keep looking
Try looking up Micro Machines Star Trek. Can you find any manufacturer inscriptions? If it says Galoob, that is a dead giveaway. It still may be Playmates though- just a different colored variant? Playmates was known to do that with Ninja Turtles, even alter the design after new reproductions(I.e.: 1992 Mutations). If there are no manufacturer markings, then it probably goes to like a Deep Space 9 playset- a ship with the station itself. edit- I had a thought. Your figures may go to a different playset. The one looks like Odo, the other looks like Legate Damar.
Thanks a lot, subtlethinker
P.S. Do I need to close this post somehow?
