Customization Help in Custom Workstation by Roadrunner49
Saturday, May 17, 2025
   [Edit]
Hello. I went to the Philly Fan Expo today and bought a Marvel Legends Scarlet Witch figure that was part of the Odin Build a Figure Wave. I bought it for the purpose of customizing it into a figure of the Pokémon character, Lorelei as she appears in the Pokémon anime since both she and Scarlet Witch's clothes have the same type of neckline. I intended to swap her legs for the legs of Moira, but they turned out to be too small. Does anybody have an tips on what would be the best legs and possibly arms to use?...[See More]

Is it me or does it seem like collecting and customizing is practically petering out? I guess eventually some just grow out of it. But it seems like there's not as much interest any longer....[See More]

I think with the ability to 3D print your own custom parts the custom world is flourishing. If you simply search custom on ebay there are literally thousands of hits

Diorama Builds... in Custom Workstation by ListWits

   [Edit]
Hey guys, just found the site today, as I've got a TON of various figures, and I've finally decided to pop a few of them open after holding out forever. But I'm wanting to put them in an appropriate diorama for each set, For instance, I've got the 6 inch Mattel Ghostbusters figures, so I just want to show them off standing outside the lower level of the Firehouse. (dont need the full size obviously for 6 inch figures), and I"m trying to find the best location or site that would have a list of DIY dioramas for various sets. I want to do it for pretty much every set of figures i have (yes, including Funko POPS eventually (but that's like my LAST priority)).

For instance, I've got Robotech, Godzilla, DC (various), Spawn, Conan the Barbar...[See More]

Welcome to the realm! This may not be what you’re after but JoyToy has some dioramas for 3.75inch figs. Bigbadtoustore also offers some. However, if you really want to be creative, you can make your own. Some use foam insulation others use actual wood. Choice is yours! Hope this helps
Adding Articulation to Agent Venom in Custom Workstation by Seltzershelf
Tuesday, January 28, 2025
   [Edit]
I love the new Marvel Legends Agent Venom, but I am unhappy with his articulation. His lower torso and waist are one solid piece; I am curious about splitting him at the belt and adding a second smaller barbell to give him more forward crunch and waist swivel. Any tips about adding that kind of joint to figures? Any help would be appreciated!!...[See More]

The torso is likely two separate pieces of hard plastic glued together, so the heating method won't work. I remember there's a tip in the tutorial section about drilling a small hole along the seam of the torso (which can be filled in with sculpting material after reassembly), then using a small flathead screwdriver to pry it apart. I've done this a few times with varying success, most of the time it works and the it's salvageable, but 2 or 3 times the pieces have been so tightly glued together I was unable to get the arms removed without destroying the torso.
scale specifics for buck bodies in Custom Workstation by C.L. Fyfe

   [Edit]
Hey Guys, I'm pretty new here and the reason I've created this account is to ask questions about body bucks for a potential custom I'm interested in making.

I've only tipped my toes into painting action figures, which I may post here later on
but I'd like to get into making a Mezco customs,

I was wondering if there was a buck that was between the heights of The VToys Zero Body and the Mezco Superman Man of Steel Edition. because the vtoys is too big for what I'm going for.

*I'm planning on doing a Golden age Superman with the McFarlane First Appearance headsculpt (modified) since those figures are on discount here. looking forward to see what you guys come up with ^^

also on othernote, how the hell do boots work? like, how to you get...[See More]
