Iron Man vs Mandarin (Green) (Marvel Legends (Toy Biz)) Review
Iron Man vs Mandarin (Green)
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) (Toy Biz)There are hundreds of Iron Man suits, many of them outrageously designed, but I still like the simple suit he has for the Face-Off series. It's the only suit that looked like something a guy could actually wear without being laughed at.

Tony stands 6 inches tall, which is in-scale with other ML figures, but maybe he should have been a little bit taller? 6.25 maybe? I mean, he is wearing a robotic suit after all! There just HAS to be some added height with that kind of gear on! The face-mask is removable but Tony's face don't look too hot. I recommend keeping it on, assuming you CAN keep it on because it doesn't fit neatly on his helmet, you've got to twist it around and wedge it in, and even then there are still some little gaps around the edges. The whole figure is cast in plain red plastic (glossy) with flat yellow areas to contrast the red's glossiness. The pentagonal shape on the chest is painted with gold, but it's not good gold, it's an ugly puke-gold color, so is the belt "buckle". There are two small red laser-cannon things that "snap-on" snugly to his wrists. They are very detailed molds but the little silver paint on them is sloppy and ruins the detail. The whole body's sculpt is pretty good, not too muscular and you can tell where the armor parts begin. There are small silver dots on the palm of the hand to show the blasters that are supposed to be embedded there. The left hand is in a fist but the fingers can still move (like Kingpin's hand) while the right hand is open but he can't hold anything well, it's just like that to simulate the laser blasts the gloves are supposed to shoot. I think if the red areas on this figure were chrome-red it would look a thousand times better. The red plastic is so bland, maybe if they had mixed a little silver into the plastic (like Phoenix) it would have looked a little better.

Iron Man has all standard ML articulation including a mid-section hinge. The joints are tight for the most part, it's just the joints in the legs that are a little loose and make him hard to stand up sometimes.

Thanks. I made a big mistake only grabbing Banshee when I first saw all of them. But what the heck, I might just make my own.

Lol...I can''t find any ML figs around here anymore. It''s been two weeks and all I''ve seen are some old X-23 and a bunch of DCSH Scarecrows on the shelves...I''ll keep looking though...

I already drilled some holes in the arms and dremeled a lot off the waist to make the chrome belt fit. If you still want to trade though, I''ll do it

I''ll trade you this one for the War machine variant. I found one at my wal mart and the Punisher with the Jigjagface variant.
So, deal, or no deal?
