Warbird (Marvel Legends (Toy Biz)) Review
Warbird
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) (Toy Biz)And just when I thought the female Marvel Legends figures couldn't be salvaged, Warbird comes along and leaves me pleasantly buzzed. This is the perfect basic female figure for any custom you can think of. The body is great and best of all, no more ugly hips! It's like Rogue's or Black Cat's body except with pretty legs! Sweet!

Warbird stands 6 inches tall and has semi-long blonde hair. The hair is made of soft plastic, like the red sash at her hips, but the highlights on it are a little...weird? Looks fine. And wow what a pretty face! She has dark red lipstick and a black half-mask around her perfectly painted blue eyes. This is actually one of the best paint jobs I've seen on a face! She has a black one-piece suit worthy of the beach. Her womanly essences are well-sculpted :) She has a soft matte finish on most of her body. The hips are perfect and a most welcome sight after those earlier failed attempts at female curves. Do you want to fix your Rogue, Black Cat, and Elektra? Use Warbird's body and you can't go wrong! I still haven't seen a decent job on the boot-tips for the female figures though because they're so flat. Storm's high-heels are the best I've seen so far. For some crazy reason Warbird's arms are swiveled twice, once under the shoulders and again at mid-bicep. Why? The one under the shoulder is enough and the second one just adds an unsightly line on the bicep. Why did someone at Toy Biz decide to mess with an otherwise flawless figure for no apparent reason? Mind-boggling... :/

Ms. Carol Danvers can be posed in a plethora of provocative poses...well, anyway :) The neck is on a swivel-hinge, there is a mid-torso hinge, and the waist swivels. The shoulders are an upwards-pivoting socket-swivel-hinge (like Gambit's), the arms are swiveled twice for no good reason, elbows are double-hinged, swivels in the forearms, and the wrists and fingers are hinged. Hips are swivel-hinged, legs swivel, knees are double-hinged with a swivel just under them, ankles are hinged and rocking, and the boot-tips are hinged. 44 POA in total.

Warbird (AKA: Ms. Marvel) has a depressing back-story which is retold in the comic she comes with. She has a small hole in her back so you can use those clear stands to make her fly. If you can't get our fair lady at Wal-Mart, I've seen some MIP ones sell on eBay for around $15-$20. Loose ones are around $10-$13. If you want to get her for cheap (like I got 2 for 5 bucks a pop, WINK WINK) you're going to have to stay up late and bid last minute. It's annoying, but you do what you have to :)

Yeah, the hair was actually a little sloppily painted as well since it is soft rubber. I just made a Black Cat custom out of her and changed the hair anyway though

The Warbird/Ms Marvel I agree the body & face are sexy, but I the believe the hair could have been better.
