Gambit (Marvel Legends (Toy Biz)) Review
Gambit
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) (Toy Biz)Gambit's suit always seemed kinda wierd, but he always covered it up with that long brown trench-coat so it really doesn't matter how goofy it is. And when you're busy trying to dodge his exploding projectiles, you don't have time to question his fashion sense...

Gambit is 6 inches to the top of his hair, but about 5.85 to the top of his head (not that big of a deal but it annoys some people, mainly me). The head sculpt is great, the eyes are black with red pupils, his hair is just right, and he has a classic smirk across his face (you can almost tell there's some French in him). He wears his regular black/lavender/blue suit and also comes with a brown coat. It looks like Movie Punisher's but it is much better. It also helps make him look bigger than his lean body is. The metallic-blue boots and neck-plate are nicely detailed. His left hand looks like he's throwing cards while his right hand is designed to carry a pole he comes with (that's right, he uses a stick and a deck of cards, fear him). There's also an "energy blast" piece, with some aces in it, that you can stick between his fingers (which is really hard to do). A small deck of cards and a pocket inside the coat would have been a nice touch.

Since he wears the coat, I guess the toy designers decided to butcher his shoulders on purpose since you never see them. They're that wierd socketed triple-hinge Omega Red has. The arms are swiveled, elbows are double-hinged, forearms are swiveled, wrists are hinged and so are his fingers. Neck is a swivel-hinge, hinge at the mid-section, waist is swiveled, hips are swivel-hinged, legs are swiveled, knees are double-hinged, swivels at the calves, ankles are hinged and rocking, and the boot-tips are hinged. I count 40 POA.

There is also another Marvel Legends Gambit released in his own package, but I'm not sure what the differences are. I'm guessing they're pretty much the same.

Okay, well, apparently Gambit is 6 inches to the top of his hair not just 5.80. You have to squeeze his legs together to get the last few millimeters, but it''s hard since the legs collide with the crotch, lol...
