Spider-Man (Toy Biz) (Toy Biz)The year is 2099 and Spiderman is still around! Now he's poisonous and he can fly, so it might not be the same ol' Peter Parker, but who can tell under that mask anyway, right?

This version of Spiderman is from the future! He stands 5 inches tall and has articulation at the neck, elbows, knees, legs, shoulders, and ankles! And despite all the articulated points, just like Scarlet Spider, this guy still has that cartoon look to him. Spiderman 2099 is based on the comic book of the same name. His whole body is painted a twilight-blue with some red designs on his mask and chest. The design on his chest looks like a skull-spider and is pretty nifty-lookin'. He has 2 red spines near each elbow, which look a little like the spikes on Batman's gloves. The hands are interesting because they are more like large claws, another change from the old Spidey. His left handclaw is open while his right is in a half-fist. Spidey comes with a silver-grey cloth with a spider-web design on it. The cloth has 3 small rings that clip onto his neck and wrists so it looks like he has a web-cape, which looks nice.

Apparently the Spiderman of 2099 uses weapons and not just webbing against his enemies of the future. He comes with a giant flaming axe [yeah, GIANT FLAMING AXE, what the hell, right?] and a HUGE laser hellcannon. The thing is heavy and as tall as he is! How would he be able to carry it around with him while fighting crime!? Well, if you want to find out how he uses these weapons then you'll have to buy the comic book because I sure can't figure it out. The weapons fit snugly on both of Spidey's arms so he can wield them in whatever crazy fashion you'd like.
