Star Wars - Power of the Force II Reviews
Emperor's Royal Guard
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Hologram Green Card
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
We dont see much of these guys at all in the movies, but if you read up on them you know they are good. Almost jedi good. A group of ten took down over one hundred stormtroopers with nothing but hand blasters and pikes AND they were caught off guard. Our guard comes with one item, his trusty force pike which fits in his right hand while his left hand is in a fist. Again, more movie style. Hes in completely red robes, a darker red on the underside with a brighter red on the outside. His force pike is silver all around. Articulation is exactly like Palpatine, shoulders only but with a completely flat base so he doesn't go anywhere. A cool figure, one of my favorite. Most people would have liked more articulation but its all good with me. ...[See More]
Emperor Palpatine
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Hologram Green Card
Rated 4.50 stars by Mr-X
For an empire, Palpatines really lame, I mean REALLY lame. Again movie style here. He comes with one item, his really crooked cane. Why he needs one I don't know, hes basically a moving powerhouse. The cane fits in his hand nicely. The hand has a small hole drilled into it and the end of the cane fits in. The other not cane hand is in a pointing position. Movie paintjob. All black robes and black cane. His skin is really pale. Articulation sucks here with only shoulders moving, he does make up for this by having a completely flat base so he doesn't fall over. Not on the top 10 figures but if your a collector or fan then I guess its worth it. ...[See More]
Darth Vader
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Red Card
Rated 4.75 stars by Mr-X
The evil Dark lord Vader, a decent figure but with some flaws. First lets start with the good of Vader. Hes really not bad, he comes with a couple good points. First is his lightsaber, its a good sculpy and actually fits in his hands. Second is the fact that his cape is removable, it fits around his neck and can be pulled off and put back on. Now to the bad. He has a weird stance. To actually stand him up straight he looks odd, like hes REALLY leaning forward. At least he can stand up though. Again movie paint, whole black costume but with life support buttons painted. His lightsaber hilt is black but with the blade a red color. Movement is typical, head, shoulders and thighs, nothing special. A good figure, worth the money for at least one, more then ones iffy. ...[See More]
C-3PO
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Red Card
Rated 4.50 stars by Mr-X
Here we have the simple and lame character known as C-3PO. Coming with absolutely nothing whatsoever he sure is exciting. Mine breaks apart, of course this could just means I broke him, ah well his parts stay in when I push'em back in. Paintjob is movie standard, a really shiny gold. Midsection is black with red and blue wires. Heres another crappy figure that gets the good movement. Head, shoulders, waist and thighs move. Well he still got screwed over, his arms are stuck at movie 45 degree angles so TAKE THAT YOU SHINY TIN CAN!!! Not really worth money in my opinion, hes just to plain and lacking...[See More]
Biggs Darklighter
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Freeze Frame
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
Here we have Luke's old buddy Biggs, who lived about half an hour an appeared the last half hour of the first movie. The SW line didn't see to many Rebel pilots so Biggs is a good addition. he comes in his flight suit with helmet and two weapons, a blaster pistol and rifle. Both weapons are a flat black color and his suit is the standerd Alliance orange color with white life support plates. he also wears flight gloves and boots which are black. They even gave him his mustache which is black. Movement=head, shoulders and thighs. A good figure, adds to the Alliance crew even if he got picked off fast....[See More]
Bib Fortuna
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Hologram Green Card
Rated 4.75 stars by Mr-X
Jabba's tail headed grunt, Bib Fortuna. Not much to say here, looks like his movie counterpart except for the weapon. This weapon is a blaster pistol that actually looks like a pistol. He comes dressed in mostly blue underclothes with black boots. His robe is a mix of blue and silver and is not removable, I improvised and cut a slit in it. His head and skin is a pale color and his eyes are red. His pistol is black. By now you should know his articulation, head, shoulders and thighs. Again, not a bad figure, gives you an extra to use here and there....[See More]
Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Red Card
Rated 4.50 stars by Mr-X
Heres a prime example of a good figure gone wrong. Ben's a good figure that was screwed up. First off, you can tell hes dressed for the Death Star battle. Hes got his hood up and he comes with is lightsaber, plus hes in his attack stance. Heres whats wrong, his stance sucks. Which basically means ol Ben needs lots of patience if you want to stand him up right. Its a real pain. Second is his hands. He holds his lightsaber like good jedi with both hands, but the hands suckm they are to wide open. The lightsaber likes to fall out, fall out easily. Theres another trip to angerville. Bens paintjob seems a bit darker then the movie version. The brown robe's right of course but the tan seems more like a bad yellow. The lightsaber blade is blue while the handle is silver. Articulation is...[See More]
AT-AT Driver
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Freeze Frame
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
A repackage but not a bad one, he also came in the AT-AT vehicle. Our pilot is the typical 3.75 inches. He comes with one item, the infamous blaster pistol. Paintjob is another dead on from the movie. He's mostly grey but with a white upper torso and blue straps. His helmet has a more cyber look then the typical stormtroopers. His breathing thing is more complicated to, they even painted on the buttons. The blaster is flat black all round. Articulation=typical head, shoulders, thighs and this time waist, so I guess its not typical... A cool figure, he really adds to any army. ...[See More]
2-1B Medic Droid
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Green Card
Rated 4.75 stars by Mr-X
Behold the first of many Star Wars reviews. Our good droid here was the medical droid who often appeared when one of the main characters was injured(go figure). He stands typical Star Wars size at 3.75 inches. He comes with one item, a datapad. His paintjob is pretty simple, arms are silver, the rest of the body is a blue color and the midsection is clear, allowing us to see his parts. Articulation is standard, head, shoulders and thighs. Sadly the head cant go far due to his tube thing and his legs turn at angles. Not a bad figure but kinda insignificant. ...[See More]
Bossk
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Hologram Green Card
Rated 4.75 stars by Mr-X
One of the bounty hunters called by Darth Vader to hunt Han Solo and friends, Bossk was on the most ruthless. The bounty hunter known as Bossk stands 3.75 inches tall. He comes with two weapons: a blaster pistol and a blaster rifle. Both weapons can fit in only the right hand since the left one is in an open position. The pistol fits in like any other figures weapon but the rifles different. Due to its shape and size, one must put the rifles sling over his shoulder to get the handle in his hand which gets a bit annoying. Bossk is another of those almost exact replica movie characters. Sporting his yellow and white flight suit from the movie, Bossk is ready to go hunting. Both guns are a silver color and his skin is a reptilian green complete with the feeling of scales. His eyes are also...[See More]
