Robotic Bebop
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Super7) - Ultimates!
Rated 4.55 stars by RMaster007
It's been over a year since Super7 integrated Robotic Rocksteady into their TMNT Ultimates line, bringing back an unexpected deep-cut that was originally released around the time the OG Turtles line shifted away from new characters and started doing variants. Before him, wave 7 was slated to include Bebop's metal doppelgänger, but for some reason (likely having three huge figures), the wave was pushed back, by a lot. It finally came out a few months ago, and now it's time to see if it was worth the wait. Like Robosteady, Robobop's head is a blockier version of the regular Bebop, and Four Horsemen recreated it in a larger scale near perfectly. The eyes on the original were cast in a translucent red plastic, either encased in the back of the head or sharing a piece with the mohawk. That...[See More]

World of Warcraft (Hero Toys) - Basic Series
Rated 5.00 stars by Wes68
Fans of Warcraft have been eating pretty well as of late. There have been Warcraft figures before, but none have quite hit this bar of quality. There was the DC Unlimited line that came out years ago which had some pretty solid figures of various named characters. Many of them came from the Comic like Valeera Sanguinar, etc. But then things just seemed to stop. Recently McFarlane picked up the license and has produced static posed statue-like figures. These tend to cost $30 or so at retail but are not really what many fans want. Part of the problem is that the figures try to represent multiple classes in one figure. If you are a fan of the games chances are you are going to be disappointed that the night elf rogue/druid is a mish-mash of design elements. People don't care about a...[See More]
Lisa
Simpsons (Jakks Pacific) - Basic Series
Rated 4.45 stars by RMaster007
Jakks Pacific's Simpsons line only hit stores back in the summer, and already we have plenty of figures and products. The second wave of 5" figures came out last month or so, and they've been slowly but surely hitting major retailers. One of the figures in the wave, Homer, is just a restock from the previous wave, but the other three are new: Lisa Simpson, Krusty the Clown, and Moe Szyslak. First up is Lisa, another instance of a character nearly getting a Super7 figure only for it to be cancelled and Jakks do them instead. She also already received a smaller-scale figure before this larger counterpart, but the 5" scale version looks a little off. The face appears a little wider than it should be, and like Homer, it was a pretty rough transition. I assume most fans won't have as much of...[See More]
Gelatinous Cube
Dungeons & Dragons (Hasbro) - Golden Archive
Rated 2.00 stars by Milbury
An interesting 'novelty' figure, this Gelatinous Cube is made around the gimmick of being able to stick various figures inside of it as if they were absorbed and are being digested. It comes with 14 'accessories' that snap into the cube's sides representing various things it has picked up such as weapons, pouches, etc. Unfortunately the slots for said accessories are very clear on the cube making it look off without them. More unfortunately, the cube in general is very cheaply made and it shows. The flimsy plastic is a pain to put together and doesn't look too great when assembled. Originally priced at $35, you can find it at far cheaper prices on the secondary market, even mint in box, but unless you really like the absorption gimmick fans of this DND monster should skip this and get the...[See More]
Bojack (Movie Collection 14)
Dragon Ball Z - Movie Collection (Irwin Toys) - Basic Series
Rated 3.00 stars by Milbury
This Bojack is the most frustrating figure I've encountered yet from the Jakks Movie Collection line. The good points first: like the other figures in this series, it is huge at over 10 inches tall and does a great job of looming over smaller figures from newer lines. Representing the transformed version of this character, it is appropriately sized for such displays unlike some other figures of the line. The face is well sculpted with its wicked grin although it (and the body) lack the signature scars of the Bojack character. Unfortunately the main body is a repaint of the S.S. Broly figure making it hard to justify this figure in a display if you already have that one. Worst of all, Bojack's flowing mane of red hair is a snap-on part and almost every loose offering of this figure on the...[See More]
He-Man (Holiday)
Masters of the Universe (Super7) - Club Grayskull
Rated 4.45 stars by RMaster007
Christmas is drawing very near, and action figures and other toys are hot commodities right now. Often around this time, companies will put out special holiday-themed products, such as Super7. When they got the MOTU license, that included Mattel passing the Classics line over to them, and with it, the "Club Grayskull" sub-line of cartoon-accurate characters. Everyone knows about the He-Man/She-Ra crossover Christmas special, so it gave S7 the chance to do a festive version of Eternia's hero. Unlike the cardbacks Classics got, the Club Grayskull figures came in window boxes, and for this version of He-Man, it was more unique. There's all over the ground and on the castle, and one spine of the box has an Orko snowman. The back doesn't have much more than a unique illustration, and it looks...[See More]
Cryin' Houn' (Stump Wrestling)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Neca) - Adventures
Rated 4.45 stars by RMaster007
"Mah name… mah name is Cryin' Houn'! Mah first name, being the name before mah last name, is Cryin'! Mah name, taken together… mah name is Cryin' Houn'! Mah name is Cry-" Shut up already. When NECA revealed their Stump Wrestling Turtles, it was clear to fans that we'd get some complementary characters. They put out Leatherhead, but he fought Ace Duck, not the turtles. Rather, they fought the strong, four-armed (and annoying) Cryin' Houn'. Unlike the other recent Adventures figures, Houn' was first to market at Walmart rather than Target, but he's showing up at the latter now, and you should be able to find the other wrestling figures with no issue. Cryin' Houn' resembles a big, ugly dog, hence his name. While his debut issue was drawn by Jim Lawson, Houn's sculpt, done by Tony Cipriano,...[See More]
Arwen (Ornate Lavender Dress Box)
Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (Toy Biz) - 12" Special Edition Collector Series
Rated 4.00 stars by Moryo
Beautiful doll. The clothing matches the movie appearance well. However, the detail on the face does not match Liv Tyler well. The head is small (as compared to the Eowyn toy) and the upper body flexibility is poor....[See More]

Biker Mice From Mars (Nacelle Company) - Basic Series
Rated 4.80 stars by RMaster007
The 80s and 90s were a time for many a unique property in both toys and television, with everyone striving to be the next He-Man or TMNT. One of those concepts was Biker Mice from Mars, and clearly, they were doing something right, as it proved enough of a cult classic to be brought back in the 2000s. The Nacelle Company, who now owns the property, is seeking to bring back the show yet again, but first, they put out a new line of figures. They've been out for a while now, mainly through comic and collectible retailers, but Walmart has them in as well for a little cheaper. The packaging is very uniform on these, being window boxes with a primarily orange motif, though each character has a unique bio on the back. They're based of the Galoob line, and while simple, they do the job well....[See More]
Indiana Jones (Cairo)
Indiana Jones - Adventure Series (Hasbro) - Basic Series
Rated 2.75 stars by Wes68
Cairo Indy feels like a filler figure. I believe he may in fact be what filled the spot after Mola Ram was canceled. So much of this figure is reused from Raider's Indy. The monkey is reused from Marion. The whip, satchel and revolver of course but I won't knock it too much for that as they are part of Indy's kit. The only appreciable addition change is the slightly altered shirt sculpt. It can be a fun look for Indy, but is it worth the price as the other figures for what is essentially a repackage? Articulation is what you would expect. Sculpt and paint apps are fine and on par with the other figures like the Raider's Indy. There's not much else to say given what this figure is. Is it essential? No. If you want it? I recommend waiting for a sale. It is on black friday sale right now for...[See More]
