Faith (End of Days)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Diamond Select) - Deluxe Figures - Series 1
Rated 3.90 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Faith is about 6 inches tall. Faith's jacket has green highlights for some reason. Faith doesn't look much like Faith at all, this figure's face is too wide. Eliza is pretty hot, and this figure doesn't reflect that. She has drab-green pants and a flexible blue jacket, which can be removed, and a red shirt underneath. The figure is basically the same as "OMWF" Buffy with a few different wrinkles on the shirt, so you can go read the review on Buffy (I don't want to be redundant!). What's great about this figure is the jacket, mainly because it's perfect for custom fodder (assuming you don't like the figure as is). Faith comes with two sets of arms, one bare and one with the jacket's sleeves sculpted on them. Both sets of arms are nicely articulated, including double-hinged elbows. The...[See More]

Yarrr, it''s those pegs showing-through that kill her, they need to be covered-up, they''re not that bad aside from that.
Buffy (Once More with Feeling)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Diamond Select) - Deluxe Figures - Series 1
Rated 4.90 stars by Henchmen4Hire
If you don't know who Buffy is then...well you haven't missed that much. The show was cool though, up until the inevitable point where it turned into a soap opera, but you should still buy this figure to pay tribute to one of the coolest shows ever. Buffy stands a hair under 6 inches which, if you're going to be a stickler, is way too tall for Sarah's height of 5' 3'', but she looks great alongside other 6-inch-scale figures like Marvel Legends. The figure has a dead-on likeness to Gellar, the expression she has is pretty relaxed and almost smiling, I guess she finds slaying demons therapeutic, hey, who wouldn't! The hair is a flexible dirty-blond, and if you ask any guy, that's a beautiful thing. The hands are both in semi-gripping positions and have painted fingernails. I love this...[See More]
Joker (Quick Fire)
Batman - Comics (Mattel) - Series 1
Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
The Purple Prince of Crime is 5.85 inches of lithe elegance with scepter, coat-tails, white-top shoes, and a stylish tassle-tie (or maybe it's just a bow-tie unbound, like his mind). He's about 6-inches to the top of his hair, but hair doesn't count, so he's a bit shorter but it's passable. The pants, sleeves, and flexible jacket are purple plastic with other details painted-on, while the shirt is orange plastic with details painted-on. The gloves and face are white plastic, also with painted details. What a face. That is one scary-bum smile, the green his teeth look like a skeletons, bared and rotten-tan. He has small high cheekbones and a long narrow jaw-line, making him look that much more surreal. The green eyes and all other details are painted well. The scepter is black with a...[See More]
Arcee
Transformers - Movie (Hasbro) - Deluxe Class
Rated 4.70 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Getting back into the groove of reviewing Transformers is awkward because different things are expected of them than "normal figures", and I have no idea as to what those things are, but here goes anyway! Arcee ("RC", brilliant!) stands about 5.80 inches tall, which is...great? My major gripe with the TF toys is that almost none of them are in-scale with one another. Arcee is a sexy motorcycle but she looks waaaay out of proportion in that mode when next to a Voyager-class figure. For the most part, TFs only look natural next to each other when in robot-mode. I understand that it would cost a lot more to make them more in-scale with one another, making them that much more expensive than they already are, but I can still complain :) Arcee is as shapely as a female robot can get, I can't...[See More]

She kind of reminds me of a Knightsabre from the Bubblegum Crisis anime.
Hawkgirl
JSA (DC Direct) - Basic Series
Rated 4.90 stars by Henchmen4Hire
I'm not going to get into the zillion different incarnations of Hawkgirl, let's get on with the review! Kendra stands about 6.5 inches without the helmet, and yes, it is removable! Looks pretty good too, not bulky or fat. It has brown and black and green and orange, I really hate these colors on Hawkgirl (and Hawkman too), the suit looks so outdated, but what are ya gonna do. The figure has a matte-finish for the most part, the red areas are still a little shiny, and the clothing has a subtle metallic sheen. I'm impressed with the paint apps on this one, it looks exactly like it did in DC's promotional pictures. Not only paint but the sculpt is great too, there are strategic wrinkles to give the illusion of skin-tight clothing. The head-sculpt is great, the hair is fantastic, but the...[See More]

wow she has a beautiful face sculpt. and her wings look better and bigger than Hawkman''s in that tender wrasslin'' move pic.
Hawkgirl: I like it with the mask on.

ooooo she looks uber cool! Though I wish they gave her some type of attachable hair so she would look more like the Animtaed JLU counterpart!
Batgirl (Cassandra Cain)
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 7
Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Ever since I read Destruction's Daughter (TPB), I've wanted this figure made for DCSH. I was hoping for a new body sculpt, but you can't win 'em all... Cassie stands about 5.85 inches, which is great scale-wise since she's supposed to be a tad smaller than the others. Yes, she has the same body and cape as Barbara from the 2-pack, only the belt and head are different. The figure is casted entirely with black plastic so there is no paint-chipping at all. As with all comic-characters, I know there are several different artists who like to draw Cassie with varying pouch-sizes and breast-symbols, I mean bat-symbols!, so I can't complain too much about the puffy belt and bat on this figure. It's a great belt, it's even painted so well that it looks like real sandy-leather (not bright yellow),...[See More]

she comes with the same batarang as babs, which was taken from S3 batman. i think the silver highlights are to help break up the black; they weren''t in the comic, and they dont add much, but it does look a bit less bland.

I found it in the pack, I just didn''t know how many she came with to make the review sounds less like guesswork :P
Thor
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Blob Series
Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire
I know, I'm almost broke and here I am buying more toys to review. Like you wouldn't buy a Thor figure at first sight! Pfft! The Odinson towers at 7 inches tall. According to the package, he's supposed to be 6-foot 6-inches, which means he's supposed to be 6.5 inches, so technically he's half an inch too long, but when was the last time a guy complained about that, right? Moving on...Thor is muscle yearning to explode in a berserker's fury restrained only by scale-armor and silvered chains...and stretchy pants. Really though, who made his suit, the poor guy doesn't have a zipper or any laces to undo for when he must succumb the Call of the Nature. The folds in the pants are great though, they definitely add to the realism. The attention to detail overall is spectacular, it's just too bad...[See More]

Green Arrow
Identity Crisis (DC Direct) - Series 1
Rated 3.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Like all guys with girly names, Oliver Queen is one cool customer. I find it funny that his suit hasn't changed while everyone else's has had at least a dozen alterations for a "modern look". He's still wearing a skirt and tights, then again, Batman is still being a rebel and wearing his underwear on the outside, so if we complain about Ollie then we have to complain about Batman, and the last guy to complain about Batman was killed by Joker with a crowbar, so let's just move on. Ollie stands about 6.6 inches, taller than the Hawkman from the same series. The 6.6 is to the top of his hat though, his actual head may end at 6.3 or 6.4. If this sounds like nit-picking it's because I AM nit-picking because it's fun to do so with a line of toys whose sculptors and QC guys REALLY S'UCK AT...[See More]

Hawkman
Identity Crisis (DC Direct) - Series 1
Rated 6.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire
I've been waiting for DC Direct to make the perfect Hawkman figure, so when I saw this Identity Crisis version online, I had to have it. Problem is that he's not so perfect! I can't hold the color-scheme against it (red/green/yellow) because it's accurate, but I think it's the worst suit design EVER. The main problem with this figure is the arms though. Carter stands 6.5 inches to the top of his head and over 7 inches if you count his amazingly-detailed wings and mask. I love the grim expression he has, looks ready to break-open someone's head with the heavy mace. Sadly, the mask, wings, and mace are the only super-detailed parts on this fig, the rest are bland (although he's wearing tights so it makes sense that there's very little detail). The paint-job is clean for the most part, the...[See More]
Gen
Street Fighter (SOTA) - Round 3
Rated 5.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
And old guy who can go toe-to-toe with Akuma? That's instant win right there. Gen stands about 5.95 inches, and is of course, fabulously detailed. Everything about him is painted (even the fingernails are a different shade than the hands) and lightly shaded. The face-sculpt is great because he actually looks like an old guy, not just a young head with wrinkles on it. The white hair and beard look good too. The pants are a darker shade of purple than the shirt and all clothing is wrinkled and creased flawlessly. Amazingly, the small feet can support this bulky figure and keep it stable. Gen comes along with 2 heads (one stern and one raising an eyebrow with a smirk, like saying "You give up already? I barely touched you!") and 3 pairs of hands! An open set, a fisted set, and a wierd...[See More]
