Moon Knight Marvel (Toy Biz) - Gold Rated 3.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire I remember seeing the Moon Knight comics and thinking, wow, that would make a great toy...and sure enough there was one!
Moon Knight is pretty damn muscular and so the Hercules body used to make him was a perfect choice. He stands 5 inches tall and has basic 5-point articulation. Moon is painted pearl white which gives him a creepy shimmering effect in the right light. He wears a long white cape and hood which are made of fabric and they are removable. His head is black with white diamond-shaped eyes so when you put on the hoodcape his face looks hidden. This looks great but some of the hoods are goofy-looking, due to bad stitching, so look before you buy. I thought it was wierd that he has glowing yellow manacles, leg rings, and belt in the comics (and on the card backing) but the...[See More]
Scarlet Spider Marvel (Toy Biz) - Overpower Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire There are few Spiderman figure variations that are worth buying, let alone worth mentioning, but Scarlet Spider is one of those Spiderman toys you just have to get. He isnt just another repaint and he doesnt have some cheesy new weapons like many of the Batman:TAS toys, Scarlet here stands out like the Metal Armored Spiderman or the Octo-Spiderman or the other Ben Reilly-costume Spiderman. They are characters that actually came out in the comics and the cartoon series, which makes them worth getting.
Scarlet stands 5 inches and has basic 5-point articulation with a bonus of articulation in the ankles so you can pose him and it looks like he's walking. His right hand is in a half fist so he can hold items and his left hand is in the web-shooting position. He looks like he can toss a...[See More]
Punisher Spider-Man (Toy Biz) - Animated - Series 5 Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire There is just something so damn cool about this guy...there is some wierd feeling you get from this toy from staring at it for a while, almost as if he's staring back at you and saying "Stop staring at me kid or I'll break your neck."
First, if you haven't seen the movie yet, go do that now. Best damn comic-based movie I've seen. There was an earlier Punisher movie but I havent had a chance to find that one yet. The Punisher has his own comic book series as a vigilante anti-hero (too bad I cant afford to buy the comics anymore...). He's actually a really good guy except that he kills people. His family was executed by The Mob and other shady characters and now Frank Castle (The Punisher) roams the night streets in search of villains and gives them what they deserve. The Punisher is...[See More]
Spider-Man (Super Poseable) Spider-Man (Toy Biz) - Animated - Series 3 Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire This is one of the best versions of Spiderman. This is how a Spiderman figure is supposed to be made, original suit, not too muscular, and super-poseable!
With his legs stretched out, when you stand him up he is almost exactly 5 inches tall. This may seem a little too big in comparison to the other figures in the series (because Spiderman is only around 5 foot, 3 inches) but when you put him in a "cool pose" he looks like he definitely belongs. His right hand is sculpted into a fist and his left hand is sculpted like he's shooting his webbing. Articulation is a lot like the Marvel Legends toys but it still looks like an animated figure which is a good job on Toy Biz's part. Joints are at his ankles, knees, hips (full range of motion), waist, torso (I'm so happy he has this...[See More]
Green Lantern Total Justice (Kenner) - Series 1 Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire Here's another Total Justice figure that could have been truly great but was botched just like the others...
It's our young Green Lantern rookie Kyle Raynor!! Yes, I was happy when I saw this one. So I bought one online and when I got him a few days later I thought he was great!! He has his original suit, dark body, white chest with symbol, green boots, gloves and ring, like in the comics before he got that whole Ion Power thing in him. He comes with some nice-looking crystal-green armor pieces that snap on to his body.
His right arm is straight and has a clenched fist just as if he were using his ring. His left arm is bent up with an open palm facing up. His legs are in a stance similar to Flash's from this same toy-line so he looks ready to fly into action.
The bad parts to him:...[See More]
Evil Bizarro Superman - Animated Series (Kenner) - Series 4 Rated 4.80 stars by Henchmen4Hire Bizarro is just cool even if no one knows how to spell his name (Bizarro or Bizzaro...Bizzarro?..oh well, I'll stick to my spelling...). He's one of my favorite super-...well he's not really a hero...or a villain...@_@. He's one of my favorite characters in the old Superman cartoons, even if he only came out 2 or 3 times...He has all the abilities that Superman has (you would too if you were cloned from a strand of hi hair!!) and has a similar color scheme to his suit except that he came out with a screw loose...maybe a whole bushel of screws!!...bushel of screws?...o.o...
Bizarro stands 4.80 inches. His right arm can be spun around by turning a red wheel-like knob in the center of his back so he can swing around the car parts he has as accessories. He has a red cape which can be...[See More]
Iron Man Iron Man (Toy Biz) - Series 1 Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire If you are looking for the original Iron Man then this is the one. He was called "Plasma Armor Iron Man" because he comes with shiny red and yellow chromed armor pieces that attach to his forearms, belt, boots, chest/back, and shoulders....and by the way the armor looks NOTHING like plasma but it is still nice. He comes with 2 red chrome weapons too, that fire a spring loaded missle, which can also attach to his armor or he can hold them in his hands. Even if you choose not to put on his armor, he has his traditional red with yellow accents armor painted underneath so he looks just as good. The paint has a subtle shine to it since there are tiny little shiny thingies mixed in the paint, probably to give it a "metallic" sheen which it accomplishes minimally but still satisfies the eye. The...[See More]
Morph X-Men (Toy Biz) - Series 6 Rated 5.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire Our friend Morph here gets a 5 because he looks just like he did on the cartoon show. He comes in the traditional blue and yellow X-men outfit. He is a shape-shifter so he comes with 3 other heads that you can switch with his. You get a Cyclops head, a Wolverine head, an Evil Morph head (shady eyes), and his own head. There is a peg on his neck on which you stick them on to. I'm sad to say that he doesn't come with his brown X-men jacket like Rogue does. He stands at 5 inches and is pretty cheap since there doesnt seem to be a high demand for him. He is nicely made, considering he was made in 1994 when many toys didnt really look too hot.
Sooooooo go get your Morph today!! Right now!!! @_@...[See More]
Agreed! That''s why I made mine into a Hal Jordan custom
Mysterio Spider-Man (Toy Biz) - Animated - Series 4 Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire Another great sculpt from the Spiderman line!!
Just one look at Mysterio is all it takes to demonstrate that he is a force to be reckoned with. His suit is very nice!! He has the right color scheme which is light green, lavendar cape, yellow boots-gauntlets-belt, and that cool dome-head. His hands are in great shapes. They look like he is casting a spell or throwing one of his patented Holo-Cubes and seeing as how he is a chemist and a former special-effects man, this was a nice touch.
I so badly wanted to give him 5 stars but he does have some minor flaws...like the huge gaping hole in his back. Aside from the standard collectible pin, Mysterio comes with a water-shooter-thingy that you can put in his back and use to shoot water jets from 2 small holes in his chest that are...[See More]
Black Tom X-Men - X-Force (Toy Biz) - Series 4 Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire Black Tom is a perfect example of how super heroes and villains should be made. This guy is a 100 percent perfect replica of the comic book villain.
Black Tom was bonded with a wood-like substance to save his life so he has the ability to make razor-wood claws and can shoot energy blasts from his hands. This guy shoots a red "energy blast" from his right hand. I like this because it has a small string wrapped around the end of it so you wont lose it when you shoot it, which is nice. His face is perfectly detailed, not too life-like, just like animated figures should be. His fancy mustache and beard are nicely sculpted too and he has one of the best hair styles I've seen!! His suit is a simple yet threatning white-red-black scheme.
The only downside I could pick at is that he cant...[See More]
