YARH! (Yet Another Red Hood) Red Hood is my favourite character to make customs of, and the moment I saw the Star-Lord figure from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, I set my heart on making a Red Hood custom from that base. Several other customisers on the Realm have made Red Hood from this base, and after waiting to get a hold of it, I set about making my version. Used the jacket from Mr. Terrific, and swapped out the hands for those from Star-Lord from Wave 2. Took a mould of an earlier Red Hood head I sculpted. Made the holsters from cut styrene. Sculpted on the Bat symbol and painted it all up. The twin pistols are from a Platz model kit, and the submachine gun is from a Tomb Raider figure. Thanks for looking!
Nothing wrong with using the same base as others but in the end it's just a base. All Artists use a base canvas to work off of and every artwork is unique even if it's depicting the same scene. This custom stands out as a JeddTheJedi Custom with your Custom made Holsters, mold of a Custom Sculpted Head, Custom Sculpted Symbol and the Paintwork put into it. It's the details done to the base which shows the customizer's vision. We applaud you and other customizers that use Sculpt work on their customs! Sculpting is something we have not done before but because of customizers like yourself we have been intrigued and are starting to try our hand at it.
Yet another excellent Red Hood! I think this is your best one. The Star-Lord and Mr. Terrific parts combo works well together. I really like how the jacket, mask and red symbol turned out.
Thank you Ric! I thought the original Star-Lord jacket looked a tiny bit too futuristic, so I swapped it out. I had painted over the Mr. Terrific jacket before though, so the paint turned out a little crusty.
