I have been delaying this custom for at least a year.

There have been many wonderful Dovahkiin customs in the Realm, but it stroke me in the first place that nobody ever used any of NECA’s buffed up guys to make a Dragonborn. So I took a NECA Jungle Encounter Dutch and started by sculpting the fur and the armor plate on the right hand. Then I left the project as it was for half a year or so :D

I collected some knowledge and experience, re-thought the project and continued with my dragon hunter a month ago.
So, my actions were the following:

1) I resculpted the feet, making the leather boots with iron plating and real lacing.
2) Sculpted the fur kilt (don’t know how to call it, leave a comment if you do) with iron medallions, leather belt and plates. The fur was sculpted on to rubber clothes from a NECA Ezio, with Greenstuff (everything else is Magic Sculpt), so it is slightly bendable. The small medallions on the leather plates are from my girlfriend’s old blouse :D
3) Sculpted the leather armor using some soft straps and pieces from a NECA figure. I used some plastic bags to create leather texture. Then sculpted the iron plating and buckles.
4) Sculpted fur and armor on to the left hand =D
5) Sculpted the iron helmet.
6) Painted everything; applied some shading (a lot of that on the shoulders for ash effect, since he gets a lot of Yoltoshiin from dragons); white drybrushing in some places for snow effect; scratched some wounds in the left shoulder, then painted in red; added some lacing; added straps for the weapons.
7) Made him a bronze amulet of Talos on a lacing.
8) Gave him a steel long-sword from a Funko Hound, the scabbard inserted into the strap on the back.
9) Made him the Dragonsbane from a NECA Big Red Predator’s katana, inserted into the strap on the belt.
10) Made him an iron shield, which can be held in-hand or stored on the back. Painted with steel and dark iron, heavily shaded, then drybrushed.

Overall, it is one of the most complicated works of mine (along with Death). I was able to keep most of the articulation unrestricted, so he’s pretty agile.
There is also an accessory pack (legendary weapons and items) planned. I also use a lightning effect from a Star Wars figure and a torch from a Toybiz Uruk-hai in some photos.

I’m happy as an elephant (as the Russians say) that I’ve finally made the Dragonborn (though a bit too late). A funny thing is that Arnie is still recognizable under the helmet, and he does look good in this role…
