Ok, this is going back, way back to the beginning of me customizing. Like, 20something years. Back in the day I almost exclusively did AoA customs, and made pretty much anyone who appeared in pannel. Rex was a new character, simple lacky to Apocalypse, like his PA, and it never showed him using any powers. A while after a 616 Rex did make an appearance in the pages of X-Man.
Cyclops base with Wolverine 1 head. This might have been my first attempt at using any sculpt stuff. And a cape from a LOTR figure.
Dude! I have all the AoA books and was like "who the F is REX??" so I am glad that you explained him AND super happy that he is maximum rando which excuses me for not knowing who he was.
The first book I bought from a real comic shop was AoA Omega, from there, I had to get them all. When I started custom figures I tried to make every single character from those books. I nearly got there too lol except all the background extras, but if they had diologue I tried. Nice to meet another AoA fan. and thanks for the comments. much love
Thanks mate. I've been close to giving it up a couple of times... but now I'm in a small group on messenger who all do the 5inch toybiz figs. makes it better when it's more social.
I'm glad you haven't I hold you to a high esteem you and a few others I genuinely got much respect for I totally agree I sometimes wonder on how many gave it up due to not being appreciated support doesn't cost you anything and a little encouragement could mean a world of difference I always respond back to a comment with a comment and a like on the commenters work tit for tat if one spent time to view yours the least thing one can do is say thanks the decent thing to do would send words of encouragement or like one of theirs there's times I come onto this site and see just a daisy chain of umcommented bangers it really sucks but I get it some are busy but a little thumbs up to comment that liked yours c'mon we all come from different walks of life but we all share this hobby that's why I'm glad I got a few of y'all that check my joints out I do this for my cognitive functioning to keep the plasticity of my mind sharp I treated more like a rehabilitative exercise that's why I'll never quit keep creating mate
Boom! Bedlam breaking it down righteous! I have no real hands on art skills so I super respect those that do and figures is such a sick way to create in the 3D space with a lot of color and style and nostalgia and weirdness etc. So I definitely like to give dap - as Bedlam for sure knows and if you look back at your history I am sure I have dapped up yours as well. This space is also so "nerd" heavy that it also makes it such a cool almost exclusive group to be in FR and be active. Like we get each other. And even though we come from all walks and can be very different we all know all the cool sh+t and that goes a long way in my book at least. So ya - lets keep the creativity and dap flowing so dudes like me can keep enjoying the art and giving love. Peace to the gods!!
