Molten Man wave head and tail on the alternate Tail-Strike body. I thought the Molten Man wave version's height and build seems too small for Scorpion. And that while the Tail-Strike version is a more appropriate size and a nice sculpt overall, its tail seems too short and thick (apparently the result of the unnecessary stinger launcher function). So this combines the best features of both, with new metallic paint apps to make them blend
Nice! I still use the old Toy Biz Scorpion. Itβs just a beautiful beautiful mold - but needs a totally new neck joint, and yours really does look good with the new Hasbro tail. I am going to have to copy your idea.
Cool.. just be forewarned the MM tail is very firmly attached. I tried to pull it free but it wasn't going anywhere. Had to more or less gouge it out and cut it. I wanted to save as much of the part that goes into the back as I could in order to attach it to the other back. While drilling the hole for it in the ToyBiz back, the entire upper torso cracked open and flew apart. It was a clean break along the seams though and turned out to be a fortunate accident, as it made for a way to attach the head using a new ball neck peg. Took some dremeling to make enough room for the joint but it worked out eventually. The head doesn't have a lot of range in the up/down direction but the original could only turn from side to side so it's still an improvement as far as articulation goes I guess
Thanks Bedlam. I used the new Vallejo "True Metallic" paint system on this, have you tried it? Seems like good stuff.. I like how the green color and sheen came out
Really looks like youβd do well with the better customizers. Scorpions cool people like him, great all over work. Stick with those characters that interest you. Then I can see him Scorpion just sticking out there cause I like Mcgargin. Have to show that one so it is a side by side in the best way to do the rare bordered eyes look. Now that that other green all over one is out. People could of missed him.
Thanks, not sure I'm following what you're saying but the MM wave was similar to the metallic green ToyBiz/Tail-Strike variant with the nose/mouth area covered, vs the original (and the lime green one I think you're referring to) where it is exposed in the same way the eyes are. I've always been partial to the metallic one
