This one is from the movie Wizards. The figure is various GI Joe 1:18 parts with a SW Clone Trooper head, all painted a solid matte red. The Woebian War Lizard is a repainted POTF Kaadu Beast and the base is carved and painted XPS foam.
Necron 99 was one of Blackwolf’s assassins, a silent enforcer sent to hunt down the forces of magic in Ralph Bakshi’s Wizards (1977). Riding his strange Moebian War Lizard across the scorched world, he carried out missions without question, a cold machine bred for war in an age of sorcery. This shot captures him on the move, alone in the wasteland before his fate begins to change.
After being defeated and reprogrammed by the wizard Avatar, Necron 99 took a new name — Peace — and became the weapon turned ally. No longer a mindless killer, he fought alongside those he was built to destroy. His story is one of redemption in a world that has almost forgotten the meaning of it.
Peace travels through ruined cities and poisoned lands, haunted by the memories of what he’s done. His Moebian War Lizard is both companion and reminder of his past life under Blackwolf’s command. Together they roam the frontier between technology and magic, searching for a cause worth fighting for.
In the end, Peace remains one of Bakshi’s most memorable figures — a quiet warrior trying to prove that even a machine made for death can find a spark of humanity. His story ends not with glory, but with purpose, as he helps Avatar bring balance back to a dying world.
Super cool - I own cels and production drawings of Peace from Wizards that I bought directly from Ralph Bakshi. You should send him some pics and if you are willing to part with this I would love to discuss cost/trade options.
