I wanted a proper Metal Mario, as I didn't like the facial expression from the one released by Jakks. I took a Metal Mario figure and swapped the head with one from an early release, as newer releases have a different neck peg. I sprayed the head with a primer and repainted it silver. The Metal Cap accessory was from the extra Metal Mario. I heated it up and was able to peel it off.
