Looking at the Ellie Sattler figure, I couldn't help but see the potential for a Lara Croft custom. Lara is a character whom I enjoy making customs of, and I this turned out to be quite a bit more challenging than I thought. The Mattel figures are much harder to work with in general than the Hasbro ones, so taking the base figure apart required quite a bit of effort and I had to reconstruct the neck peg and the inside of the torso to fit the new arms. The arms came from a 2003 SOTA Toys Lara Croft, from the Cradle of Life movie line. The hands came from the wetsuit Lara from that same line. I resculpted the torso and shortened the arms slightly at the wrists. The head was from a Marvel Legends Stepford Cuckoo, with resculpted hair and an articulated braided ponytail made from twisty wire. There was a lot of modification needed to fit the head onto the neck. The belt buckle was sculpted on. The straps and holsters were made from craft pleather. The backpack was taken from McFarlane Multiverse Batgirl, with the straps made from craft pleather. Painted it all up. Thanks for looking!
