This was just a simple repaint. In A New Hope, the TIE Fighters were more of a gray color while in Empire and Jedi they were more blue. This repaint is to reflect how the TIE Fighters looked in A New Hope. I found a shade of gray that is a close enough match to Vader's ship, and have customized two. I have included a comparison shot with an original TIE Fighter (third photo). I just think the gray TIEs look so much better flanking Vader's ship than the blue, which you can see in the last photo.
