Henderson was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the second round of the 2019 MLB Draft, 42nd overall. He made his professional debut that year and progressed through the Orioles' minor league system, showcasing his potential as a top prospect. Henderson debuted in the majors on August 31, 2022, at the age of 21. In his first game, he recorded two hits, including a home run, and an RBI. In 2023, Henderson had a standout rookie season, batting .255 with 28 home runs and 82 RBIs. He achieved notable milestones, such as hitting a 462-foot home run onto Eutaw Street at Camden Yards and recording multiple four-hit games.
