· Bro'Dee Walker was a priest on the planet Astonia, where he lost his entire family during a grueling pilgrimage to find a prophesied messiah as their sun was dying. Despite his immense grief and finding the summit empty, his refusal to abandon hope revealed that he himself was the "savior" his people needed. This unwavering faith caught the attention of the Guardians Ganthet and Sayd, who bestowed upon him the first Blue Lantern ring to save his world and spread hope across the universe.
· Brother Warth is an elephantine alien from Space Sector 2 who was recruited as the second member of the Blue Lantern Corps by Saint Walker. Chosen for his immense capacity to instill hope, he spent several days on the planet Odym being evaluated by the Guardians Ganthet and Sayd to ensure he was worthy of the blue power ring. He ultimately dedicated his life to healing others and spreading peace across the universe until he perished in battle against the villain Relic.
· Hal Jordan became a Blue Lantern during the "Rage of the Red Lanterns" (2009) storyline: Hal was forcibly inducted into the Red Lantern Corps by Atrocitus. The red ring replaced his heart and blood with napalm-like "red rage," making it impossible to remove without killing him. To save him, the first Blue Lantern, Saint Walker, placed a blue power ring on Hal’s finger. The blue light of hope neutralized the red rage and shattered the red ring, purging the corruption from Hal's body. For a short time, Hal wielded both his Green and Blue rings simultaneously as a hybrid Lantern until the blue ring eventually burned out.
· Kyle Rayner became a Blue Lantern during the "War of the Green Lanterns" (2011) event: the rogue Guardian Krona infected the Central Power Battery with Parallax, the entity of fear. This "yellow impurity" allowed Krona to brainwash any Green Lantern wearing their ring. Kyle and the other Earth Lanterns were forced to remove their green rings to avoid losing their minds. Hal Jordan recovered the "lost" rings of the other emotional corps, and Kyle voluntarily chose the Blue Lantern ring of Saint Walker. Kyle chose the blue ring because hope was central to his character. However, because the ring did not "choose" him through the standard recruitment process, he initially struggled to control its power and could not create constructs as effectively as he did with willpower.
