Faker began his existence as a decoy robot created by Man-At-Arms to trick the Evil Warriors when He-Man was unavailable. The robot was defeated and laid deactivated near Snake Mountain until Tri-Klops found and repaired him. Faker now serves Skeletor and can change his blue color to skintone, to spy the Heroic Warriors disguised as He-Man. The skintone effect has a limited time until Faker recovers his true colors, and he can also return to blue if heavily damaged, so it's possible that the color change depends on his power cells.
