Profile: In a wild west holodeck fantasy, Stardate 46271.5, Lieutenant Worf is the sheriff of Earth's 18th Century town of Deadwood, South Dakota. A stranger by the name of Durango wanders into town. She is really Counselor Troi, who has entered the Holodeck to join in the western saga. The holodeck program created by Worf's son, Alexander and his friend, Reginald, malfunctions. The simulation transforms suddenly into a frightening and lethal reality. A corrupted subroutin (C-47) in the programming causes the Holodeck to generate multiple Datas, who not only resemble the android, but possess his acute abilities as well. The program's safety functions do not respond. Knowing he cannot defeat Data in a high noon showdown, Sheriff Worf jerryrigs his equipment and creates a temporary forcefield generator, which deflects the bullet that has his name on it. Aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, Geordi LaForge has been able to make the necessary repairs to the computer - ending the Holodeck adventure just in time.
