Personnel Profile: Christine Chapel Species: Human Assignment: Nurse Current Starship: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Last Update: Stardate 6021.9
Christine Chapel gave up a promising career in biological research to sign aboard a starship, so she could search for her missing fiancé, Dr. Roger Korby. Known as "the Pasteur of Archaeological Medicine," Korby was lost on the ice world EXo III. The starship U.S.S. ENTERPRISE visited Exo II on stardate 2712.4 and found Korby. In actuality, he had implanted his personality inside an android. With Korby she knew no longer alive, Chapel chose to remain aboard the Enterprise and work alongside Chief Medical Officer Dr. Leonard McCoy and his assistant, Dr. M'benga. She is often assigned to Landing Party missions where her medical skills may be required, either to assist to substitute for Dr. McCoy. Chapel has expressed to the Starfleet Personnel Division an interest in reports that Chapel has a unique interest in Vulcan physiology, and has studied the starship's Vulcan first officer quite closely. This should be considered in any future assignments.) Chapel's aptitude test show that she is capable of command responsibilities, and may be candidate for Starfleet Command posting after filed experience as a Chief Medical Officer.
